I turned 40 and wanted to learn to play an instrument. I decided to start with a recorder. I practice for two months and became really good at it. But, I wanted to move off of the teach yourself recorder books. I actually totally forgot I ordered this book one night. USPS dropped off the package and I opened it and got all excited.I read other reviews from other pop music books. THIS IS NOT A BEGINNERS BOOK. So don't go giving this book low stars because you can't play it. You have to be able to play the recorder and read music. There are no note names! That's not the book's fault. Once you have learned to read music and play the recorder this is definitely an awesome book.I can play all the songs. I was so surprised to find that it has Puff The Magic Dragon in it. That was my favorite song growing up. It sounds great.DEFINITELY 5 STARS
I purchased this book thinking at least some of the songs could be played on the Treble (Alto) recorder. I was wrong. For my use, it is worthless.If you don't play the soprano, don't waste your money.
This has lots of good pop songs in it. I was excited at the variety of tunes. However, unless you have very good vision, like 20/20 or 20/15, do NOT buy it for Kindle. I had to return it and buy the paperback. Impossible to see the notes clearly.
Perfect Intermediate players songbook. Playing all will increase your standing Has some good workout songs
Fantastic book for someone who has 6 months of playing. It's good to learn new music outside of a lesson book.
I never get bored with this collection. I think 'Like A Virgin' is my favorite.
Like most books of this type is has a lot of cut down songs to play. If you are looking for something to play for practice or just for fun this is a good book.
A lot of really nice songs in this book glad I chose it it's very very good book
