The book itself is an interesting idea but not quite the quality I expected. The cover looks a bit like it was printed from Word or something and some of the boxes are really small. I've included a photo with a pen for size reference to show how tiny some of the boxes are and I have a hard time picturing kids drawing pictures that tiny. That being said it is small notebook that fits easily in a purse and there is a bit of a variety in the templates used.

Very much what it says it is. I don't have kids, so I'm not sure whether or not it would be a good book for creating comics stories, but I'm sure, to a certain extent, it would work - especially to get them to think about the visual "language" of the medium. Panels might be a little small to render much detail, but again, no real big deal for the little ones.I'm an aspiring comics writer, so I actually use it to create basic "thumbnail" sketches for artists. While there are only about 5 separate formats, they're very useful and the variety works. Plus, it's only five bucks, and a decent sketch pad will run you about that.

My 9 year old has been creating his own comics on notebook paper, so I was excited when I found this book that will give him some more ideas for layout, story flow, etc. For $5, he gets a simple book he can play around with his comic ideas in, and I won't care if he goes through pages like a fiend. Others have commented that the cover seems overly simple or the pages are somewhat see-through - I think it's a perfect beginner or idea/sketch notebook and again, the price is just right for that. My 7 year old now wants a book too, as well as my 30 year old sister!

This is great. Some books like this have conversation bubbles (which are annoying) - this book does NOT. It just has empty cells to add your creations to. There are several cool layouts to choose from, as well.

I bought several of these for all the kids who were coming over for Christmas along with several packages of pens bought at the dollar store. The books are as advertised, blank pages with several different boxes on each page so you can draw out a story like the comic books do. I have no idea if any of the kids kept using the books after Christmas. My only complaint would be that there weren't any word circles added as if characters were talking or maybe some stickers would have been nice. But for the price I and the kids seemed happy with them .

I like the idea of this, it'd be great for kids.But the panels are to small, and when there are big ones there aren't much.I wish it was bigger then it would have been better

I bought this book for a gift. I need to get another! What a wonderful idea. I cannot wait for the book to be filled with wonderful illustrated stories.

Disappointed in the lack of riding the pages and some of the squares were too small really to do anything with
