My son has used Barron's study guides before with great success. he is teaching himself Physics C and has two different test prep books for teaching himself. He did this with Physics B and got a 5 and 800 on the subject test. Barron's books tend to be tougher than other test prep books which makes them a good, "final" prep book before the test. I would recommend for anyone with high score goals.
Exactly what I need and excellent shipment! From everything that I have read, this is a good book. I definitely recommend it to all.
There are many typos and just plain wrong sections in the book. For example, in the Rotation 1 section, the book often uses 1/2 (one half) instead of l/2 (length divided by 2) when dealing with the radius of rotation. Also, in the very beginnging, the book incorrectly states that v^2=vo^2+2a(x-xo)^2 when it should be ...+2a(x-xo). If you are going to use this book, you should mainly use it for the practice problems it offers. Else, take what you read with a grain a salt.
There are some mistakes in the book, but in overall, it is helpful.
This is a study aid I used for my high school class. This book was so worth it and helped in aspects my teacher couldn't. If you feel like your school teacher isn't doing so much for you, purchase this book and study on your own.
