I was really hoping for a true step by step drawing for my 4 and 6 year old. This is not that. They just received a drawing book from school and loved it so I wanted to get them more. The characters are silly looking, the steps broad and not very simplified. I'm disappointed.
My middle daughter wanted a learn to draw book like her big sister. She wanted a mermaid one and when I found this, I was hoping it would be a little less complicated than my 10 year old's, since my middle is 6.This book is PERFECT. Very easy to follow and my daughter loves it! Very happy with this book.
Very basic- great for 4-5 year olds. My 6 yr old is crazy about mermaids. This will prob be a bit basic for her, but I still think she will love it!
I wanted something simple to work with, partly for me and partly for the grandkds. It was pretty much geared to girls, but my grandson had fun drawing the little crab guy. My 7 year old granddaughter really had fun drawing the mermaid, and I'm hoping this will help open the door for her to enjoy art. Apparently they don't do a lot of art in her school.As an extra note, I liked it well enough to order two more of his books. :)
It isn't quite what I had hoped. I was looking for more of a step by step book but it was more like five steps per picture. My 8 year old liked it but the pictures were also very similar to each other. She doesn't use it as much as I was hoping and I would have sent it back but she said she didn't mind. I have however found another one online I think I will order.
Really cute book. Easy drawing instructions. Really helped my 9 year old to learn some techniques.
Little one loves this. I have a 6 year old that loves fairies.
