This guidebook was very useful while in Croatia- I found it to be more useful than any of the others I purchased in terms of history, what to see, and how to get around via bus & ferry (although we had a rental car, this was still useful). Since it's on my regular kindle I couldn't see color pics, of course, but I didn't really need them. all of the overpriced, less useful guide books had beautiful color images but lacked good content.
This is a great book to help plan a trip along the Dalmatian coast. Although it does not have some of the details that you will find in Rick Steves' popular book on the region, it is nice because it goes into more detail on a very specific area. Seems very up-to-date. Ms. Oliver's website is also quite useful in planning a trip. My trip is in ten days, so I will no for sure how accurate it really is after that.
